- AI Leadership & Business Impact:
- 10+ years as Director/VP of Data Science in Oil & Gas or Energy, leading AI-driven innovations in exploration, production, and refining.
- Proven track record in monetizing AI-driven initiatives, influencing C-suite executives and operational leaders to integrate AI into core business functions (ideally with F1000 / Large Enterprise)
- AI/ML Expertise:
- Deep Learning (CNNs, Transformers, GNNs) for seismic data, well logs, and reservoir modeling.
- Reinforcement Learning (PPO, DDPG, Multi-Agent RL) for real-time drilling optimization and asset performance.
- Generative AI & Bayesian Modeling for synthetic seismic data, geological modeling, and risk assessment.
- Computer Vision & Robotics (LiDAR, SLAM) for pipeline inspection and offshore automation.
- Data & Infrastructure:
- Big Data (Spark, Delta Lake, Ray), IoT & Edge AI for real-time analytics and predictive maintenance.
- Federated Learning & Blockchain for secure asset monitoring and energy trading.
- Explainable AI (XAI) & Regulatory Compliance (ESG, emissions monitoring).
- Industry Influence & Sales:
- Strong relationships with NOCs, IOCs, oilfield services, and regulators.
- Experience in AI solution sales, strategic partnerships, and enterprise AI adoption.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive AI-led business growth.
- AI Strategy & Change Management:
- Past experience in consulting firms or leading AI transformation in large oil & gas enterprises.
- Expertise in AI governance, stakeholder alignment, and change management in industrial settings.
